With 58 images made by Michael Kenna between the years of 1984 and then 2011, In France: merci bien pour tout is not simply a visual appreciation of a very beautiful country; it is also the photographer's own personal homage to the memory of his dear friend and agent, Martine d'Arc. Bound in vellum with traditional Japanese thread, In France opens with an introduction by Michael Kenna, and is printed in an edition of just 2,000 copies.
